Environmental Tip: Say “No” To Plastic Straws
Turn down disposable plastic straws when eating out. If you need to use a straw consider carrying a reusable straw. Plastic straws are among the top 10 debris found in beach/coastal cleanups worldwide. More plastic means more oil and gas extraction and more electricity to power plastic production. Between 22 and 43 percent of plastic goes to landfills taking up valuable space.
